Tile Doctor X-Tra Seal for Sealing External Stone and Tile

Tile Doctor have recently added a new impregnating sealer to its range which is ideal for protecting external stone. It's a breathable oil based resin formulation which provides strong water and stain repellency properties and is therefore ideal for sealing external stone or floors with Salt efflorescence problems. Additional the 1st coat will revive the colour of tile and stone and the 2nd coat if needed will give a wet look finish.

Expected wear, can be anything from 3 to 5 years but a top up of the sealer will be required if a high shine finish is required as the sheen will wear after 12 months of footfall.

Suitable for sealing many types of porous, rough, and honed floor and wall stones including Black Limestone, Brick, Flagstone, Limestone, Marble, Sandstone, Slate, Terracotta, Quarry and Victorian tiles. Can also be used to protect Concrete, Concrete flagging, Encaustic tiles, Grouting and Pointing.

Terracotta Floor Restoration

Tile Doctors Russell Taylor (Lancaster) and Pierre De Wet (Cambridge) arrived back from cleaning and sealing a 120m2 Terracotta restaurant floor at a major hotel in Ethiopia last week.

The floor was in serious need of restoration due to oil and polish build-up; hotel and local contractors had been unable to help and as you will see from the video below it took a lot of hard work. The operation took 2 weeks to complete, required 24 litres of Pro-Clean and 58 litres of Seal and Go.
